Program Description
Sociology is the scientific study of human society, social behaviour, and how people interact within groups, communities, and institutions. This program helps students understand how culture, traditions, laws, education, politics, religion, and family shape people’s lives. In university, students of Sociology learn about social problems (poverty, crime, gender inequality, youth issues), research methods, social theory, and the impact of globalization. They are trained to analyse human behaviour, collect and interpret data, and suggest solutions to societal challenges. Graduates of Sociology can pursue careers in social research, education, community development, human resources, public administration, media, and international organizations.
