Program Description

Mental Health Nursing trains you to care for people with mental and emotional health needs. You will study anatomy, physiology, psychology, psychiatric nursing, psychopharmacology, counselling, community mental health, and clinical practice. The program combines classroom learning with hands-on placements in hospitals and community centres so you learn assessment, treatment support, and rehabilitation skills. Graduates can work as registered mental health nurses in psychiatric hospitals, community mental health teams, public health services, NGOs, or continue to specialise in counselling, administration, or health promotion. Develop accurate mental status assessment skills to evaluate patients within clinical placements, measured by supervised assessments.
