Program Description

Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing) teaches you how to design, make, and keep machines and products working. You will study manufacturing processes, materials science, machine design, computer-aided design (CAD), basic programming, mathematics and physics, and quality control. The program combines classroom theory with hands-on workshops so you learn to draw parts, use tools, and set up simple automated systems. Graduates can work as mechanical or manufacturing engineers, CAD technicians, production supervisors, maintenance engineers, or pursue further study in engineering and technology. This program prepares you for practical jobs in factories, construction, agro-processing, and emerging automation roles in Ghana and beyond, while building strong problem-solving and technical skills.

Develop the ability to create and interpret engineering drawings using CAD software, producing complete part and assembly drawings.
