Program Description
Health and Physical Education teaches you how the body works, how to stay healthy, and how to teach movement and sport. At SHS you will study human biology, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, first aid, fitness training, sports skills, pedagogy and assessment. The course builds practical coaching experience, lesson planning and classroom management. After SHS you can train as a teacher, work as a coach or fitness instructor, move into educational administration, curriculum development, special education or consultancy in health promotion. This program prepares you for further teacher training college or university study, and opens doors to jobs in schools, community health programs, sports clubs and NGOs. Stay active, learn to lead, and make a positive impact on young people and community health.
