Program Description
Fashion Design and Textiles Studies teaches you how clothes and fabrics are designed, made, and presented. You will study sketching and pattern-making, sewing and garment construction, textile science, colour and surface design, and basic digital design tools. Lessons also cover fashion history, cultural textiles, and visual communication. The program prepares students for careers in fashion design, textile production, costume design, retail and merchandising, and creative roles like graphic design or art teaching. Through hands-on studio work and projects, you will build a design portfolio that helps you get internships, apprenticeships, or further study. This course is ideal if you enjoy creativity, practical work, and learning how culture and design come together to tell stories through clothes.
