Program Description
Fashion Design and Textiles teaches how clothes and fabrics are created, styled, and presented. You will study sketching and fashion illustration, pattern cutting and garment construction, textile science, surface design and dyeing, and the history and culture of dress. The program combines studio practice, design projects, and research on Ghanaian and global textile traditions. Graduates can work as fashion designers, textile designers, costume makers, fashion retailers, or start their own labels. It also opens pathways into related arts careers such as creative direction, museum curation, and fashion media.
