Program Description
Family and Consumer Sciences (Food & Clothing) teaches practical skills in food, nutrition, and clothing for everyday life and careers. You will study nutrition and meal planning, food safety and preservation, basic food processing, textile materials, sewing and clothing construction, and consumer education. The program combines hands-on practice in kitchens and workshops with lessons on sustainable use of resources and hygiene. Graduates can pursue jobs as food technologists, nutrition officers, quality control assistants, garment technologists, home economics teachers, or start small food and clothing businesses.
