Aims & Objectives
Develop accurate mental health assessment skills, demonstrated by conducting and recording standardized assessments in supervised clinical placements.
Master basic therapeutic and psychosocial interventions, shown by delivering individual and group support sessions under supervision.
Understand common psychiatric conditions and psychopharmacology, with the ability to explain diagnoses and medication plans to patients and families.
Apply infection control and safe clinical procedures in community and clinical settings, evidenced by adherence to protocols during placements.
Create and manage care plans and referrals, demonstrated by coordinating at least three client care plans with multidisciplinary teams.
